Notepad Tablet

The NotePad is a stand-alone device with internal storage capability that digitally captures and stores everything you write or draw with ink on ordinary paper, without the use of a computer and special paper. An optional SD slot makes it perfect for additional storage. Then, you can easily view, edit, organize and email your handwritten notes on your computer screen.

A tablet personal computer (tablet PC) is a portable personal computer equipped with a touchscreen as a primary input device and designed to be operated and owned by an individual .All tablet personal computers have a wireless adapter for Internet and local network connection. Software applications for tablet PCs include office suites, web browsers, games and a variety of applications. However, since portable computer hardware components are low powered, demanding PC applications may not provide an ideal experience to the user.

Operating Systems :

  Microsoft Windows

Tablet functionality is available in all editions of Windows 7 except the Starter edition. It introduces a new Math Input Panel that recognizes handwritten math expressions and formulas, and integrates with other programs. Windows 7 also significantly improved pen  input and handwriting recognition by becoming faster, more accurate, and supportive of more languages, including East Asian writing  systems.

  Android

Google's Linux-based Android operating system has been targeted by manufacturers for the tablet space following its success on smart phones due to its open nature and support for low-cost ARM systems much like Apple's OS. In 2010, there have been numerous announcements of such tablets.

Screen size trends

For current tablet computers, (non tablet PCs) the general size is 10" (Used by the iPad) or 7" (Used by many Android tablets). Many tablet PC makers have standardized on a 12" wide screen format, with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.

Pen computing

Pen computing refers to a computer user-interface using a pen (or stylus) and tablet, rather than devices such as a keyboard and a mouse. It is also used to refer to the usage of mobile devices such as wireless tablet PCs, PDAs and GPS receivers. The term has been used to refer to the usage of any product allowing for mobile communication. An indication of such a device is a stylus, generally used to press upon a graphics tablet or touchscreen, as opposed to using a more traditional interface such as a keyboard, keypad, mouse or touchpad.

  1. Most people haven't heard of tablet computers. If you are one of them, this article will shed some light for you. A tablet computer in its most simple form is a laptop computer with a touch screen. Touch input is becoming very popular on electronic devices of all types these days.
